"I want to be the voice of optimism. And I have been. I bought an actual pair of rose-colored glasses. When I was younger, I always said, 'I don't care if people think I'm an ostrich with my head in the sand, Pollyanna.' I've been called all of that. And when I was younger it kind of bothered me a little bit. And now I just really wear that badge very proudly."
